I decided to go back to school and go for my master’s degree in accounting and started applying for internships and jobs, but they never selected me due to my lack of experience. That is when I decided to apply for an Internship in Madrid. I was scared initially but willing to face and enjoy this new experience. [Adelante] found an intern position for me at a film institute, where I assisted with day-to-day financial transactions, including recording payments in their system. My place of work had a great environment, and everybody treated me like family. I went back home and started applying for new jobs, and thanks to my experiences as an intern in Madrid, I received three offers.
