As part of our wide and varied range of internships, Adelante includes some sectors which are particularly suitable for non-Spanish speakers who wish to live and intern in Spain or South America. All programs begin the first Monday of the month, year-round.
Beginner Spanish Internships Abroad Available
Teaching English
Candidates wishing to teach English can choose from Madrid, Barcelona, or Seville in Spain, or Vina del Mar, Chile, Oaxaca, Mexico or Montevideo, Uruguay. This is also a great option for anyone with short-term availability as programs can be anywhere from 1-6 months.
Social Media
For anyone interested in researching, writing and photographing local entertainment venues, tourist attractions and social events, this internship is a very exciting opportunity. Create content for an English-language website for a company based in California. This internship is available in either Madrid or Barcelona. Programs are from 2-6 months.
Journalism
For low-level Spanish speakers looking towards a career in journalism, we can find internships with English language publications in Madrid or Seville (Spain) or in Vina del Mar, Chile or Oaxaca, Mexico. Programs are from 2-6 months.
Working with Children
Another option for those with no or little Spanish is to work with children. This could be volunteering at an orphanage in Mexico, working with street kids in Chile or interning with immigrant minority groups in Spain. Programs are from 2-6 months.
